You have seen these headlines, right? Are they real? Can one person clicking on you Adsense links really earn you a $100? Maybe, maybe not. Most of the top paying keyword lists are a big crock of S**T! There is no doubt that the adsense program is one of the most successful marketing programs ever created. And yes webmasters are making money with Google Adsense but how much and how are they doing it is the real question.

There are too many scam artists who are trying to rip you off with some so called "top paying keyword list" Don't fall for it! Yes some keywords are worth $5 $10 $50 or even a $100 because that is what the advertiser is willing to pay Google to display those ads. It doesn't mean that is what you are going to make. Think about it, if a company is willing to pay $100 per click don't you think they are going to be watching the numbers pretty close. For that price they want highly qualified leads not thousands of people clicking on it and running up there tab. 1000 clicks at $100 each is $100,000. Now if that company gets $500,000 in business, fine but if they get $500 in business for that return then as the Donald says "someone will be fired!"

In the course of building several websites and using Google Adsense I made several discoveries. I put together a crappy little website and that crappy little website earned me $100 in a month. Not big money but pretty surprising since I didn't have that many visitors. Don't believe the screen shots showing you making hundreds a day and thousands a week. It could happen but those screen shots have been altered to inflate the income. Putting these discoveries into use on other websites have proven they work. There is no reason you can't make a $1000-$3000 a month over a period of time. I am not going to kid you. It takes work but once you get the ball rolling you will see your income rise. It is one thing to sell you a list of "top paying keywords" its another to tell you how to set up your websites and how to drive traffic to it.

There are steps anyone can take can take to increase their adsense earnings such as learning about the why the best placement for your ads is above the fold, what colors work best and how easy it is to match them to your site, but it can take lots of trial and error or you can learn from someone who has already tested it out. For example did you know--Why you don't need thousands of visitors to your website (you might be surprised) and how only 2 or 3 visitors a day can actually make you more money than 1000 visitors. You should learn why you want to make your visitors click and move on and why you shouldn't care that they don't stay. This is the exact opposite of every article you have ever read about creating "sticky" sites.

Yes there is money to be made with google adsense and top paying keywords can make you more but don't get ripped off by paying too much for some "magic list". There is no free lunch.

More Is Less. The number of ads you've got above the fold will influence your visitors clicking habits. Google puts the top-paying ads topmost with the lower paying ones at the bottom. If you have a stack of ads all located above the fold those cheaper ads might steal attention away from the more profitable ones. So keep this in mind...more is not necessarily better as far as your Adsense revenue is concerned.

3. Wave Goodbye To That Border. So you've spent a lot of time putting up intelligent and useful content on a beautifully designed site...shame that you've got to tarnish such wondrous aesthetics with Adsense. But guess what...you don't have to! You can easily blend your ads in to compliment the overall layout of your site. First thing--Get rid of that border delineating your ads. Next, make your Adsense text the same colour as that of the rest of your site. People are more likely to click on it thinking it's part of that useful content on your site.

4. Text Ads versus Image Ads. And the winner by unanimous decision is (drum roll)...Text Ads! With the right formatting your text ads will blend in with your content. Text ads are also more flexible with respect to tweaking and positioning. Another thing about text ads, is that you can squeeze more of them in the space taken up by an image ad (banner). Text ads don't appear like clutter whereas banners do!

5. Keywords. The content on your web pages determines the Google Adsense ads that appear there. If your site does not have a specific theme then Google will gladly supply you with non-profit general service ads. So as you can see Content is Still King! Even so you can quite easily (and legitimately) influence the Adsense ads supplied to your site by strategically placing keywords in specific locations on your site without diluting your site's copy (text tailored towards a specific goal and written for your visitors).

Passive income can be basically defined as income that you don’t actually do anything to get. In the past, this most often meant owning rental properties or being a silent partner in a business.

Another way people did, and still do, create passive income was through direct sales. They would start selling a product such as Avon, Tupperware or Amway and recruit others to sell as well.

In exchange for bringing people into the business, they’re given a percentage of any sales those people make. This, then, enabled them to stop actively selling the product and still make significant amounts of money.

With the advent of the Internet, though, opportunities for passive income has broadened and become easier than ever to develop.

A person can now write articles or ebooks that can generate passive income for years. Someone can even sell the rights to their written products and only take a small to moderate commission on future sales of those products by others to create a wonderful ongoing passive income opportunity.

Many people have harnessed the power of the Internet in Web sites that they build and work at until it is possible to have it running automatically, with little or no maintenance.

This, however, takes a long time to happen, and a person doing this would be wise to still keep a close watch on their Web site businesses to ensure their customers are getting great service.

They will also want to pay attention to Internet marketing trends and be sure they make adjustments to keep their online business as up to date as possible to ensure the passive income opportunity remains reliable and even grows.

They may also want to expand their passive income opportunity by duplicating it with new and different Web site and online businesses.
